DM: [The chewy fruit of the gua-pear goes well with the tart apples.] Well, besides the Emperor coming to Corum - but everybody knows that... [An attractive woman comes up beside you and asks for a bag of raisins] That jackal - I wish Grayears had taken the throne himself. There's been nothing but curruption since Mineon was crowned. The Brotherhood should throw him out... [she chuckles] He's obsessed with dragon magic he is. [she pops a raisin in her mouth and smiles mischievously] |

DM: You do well and make several friends - more if you are continuing your bubbly act. The warriors are predominantly males, about 5:1, but they accept you "eagerly". There are several women who you would not want to tangle with but many seem to be along for the ride, carrying impressive weapons but their soft skin and distant smile gives them away. Basically you can tell me what you want to happen, unless it involves very powerful people. Among the powerful types there are mixed reactions.] You're going to go far [The man is clean and seems sincere] You're a tiger eh? [A woman once beautiful marred by a scar from forehead to jaw on the side of her face. She wears the robes of a Druidic wizard and her scar dissapears into a wide smile] Who are you? [Asks a man in a gray cloak, carrying a heavy broadsword and his eyes pierce you, making you momentarily cold] |

DM: [You find several takers and usually win (which is duly noted) - The veterans have no interest in knife-play though] Get real kid [and some of the most likely give you a blank stare and whisper] Not here. |

DM: There is a large mob of people at the games. People of all types are drunk and eating heavily. There is much talk of the Sarnetto, who's head is mounted on a pole on the stage. It's razor sharp brow bones and 3" teeth look menacing even in death. The events seem to be catch-as-can. There are many judges walking around with scrolls to write results on and an equal number of challenges issued between half drunken adventurers. This is not a place for music. The mood is much more serious than it seems on the outside, because these games in part decide the division of moneys earned from Corum. |
