*sighs ruefully to himself, shaking his head, as he watches shakara exit with a bemused smile. Women. Always another surprise. Shaking himself out of his reverie, pell's grin returns full force as he falls back into his familiar role as entertainer.* Well now, *he said, turning to a group of well kept patrons* might a play a request for you fine folks? Something y'might dance to? Or perhaps one of the heroic ballads of old? *he says, fingers flashing, the chords strum from lively to sober*

Shakara laughs and leans over and kisses Pell on the cheek, then whispers in his ear "ya think so do you?, Your gonna have to be MUCH more convincing ere you find yourself in my bed" she nips his earlobe gentaly then spins away laughing merrily her eyes sparkling she gives Pell a saucy wink, and heads for the dance floor.

*winks at shakara* Not I, lady... I have other plans... *he grins at his audience and, with a sidelong glance at shakara* How about Red-Haired Lady? *Pell suggests. The song is old, but a merry dancing tune*

DM: This I gotta hear

Shakara giggles and tosses her long red mane "so where does a lass sign up for this contest?" she flexes her biceps, laughs and then looks at Pell "careful there or you might be running from the wee lasses family trying ta drag you off the the prist there my roguish Bard"

DM: [The man looks at your bicep and grins] In two days. Go to the guild hall to talk to them tomorrow, I'm sure a woman of your - uh - talents can get in. [The guild hall is the old great-hall section of the palace. Basically it is now a giant tavern. Outside there are many warriors congregating in several groups: Bloodknights(Brothers of Blood), Mercs(rejects from the BoB), Paladins(too good for the BoB), and Wannabees of each type. {Is Pel here?]

(((ooc: I can see the pictures just fine, thanks... ;). But no, i'm not on a sega saturn. Gateway2000 pentium 133, but it works.))) Hmmm... well shaks, give it a try... it could be fun. *finishing his wine, pell returns to his audience. Bowing floridly, he rises with a wide grin. He sets his eyes on a young girl.* And what would y' be wanting t'hear now, m'lass? *he declaims, eyes twinkling*

*during one of his breaks, pell sips from his glass of Arcian Red.* Why don't you give it a try, shaks... whats the worst that could happen? *then, pausing* Actually, you might want to find out what IS the worst that could happen. I don't want you laid out for a week or a month from injuries gotten in some fool contest.

DM: [One of the cooks overhears your conversation.] The contest isn't dangerous. It's mostly races, arm-wrestling and archery. {ooc I assume Shakara can see my little pictures, but can you Pell? You are on a Sega Saturn right?}

ooc-please note all email for me is to be sent to lthis_girl@hotmail.com ic-"Shakara smiles "well Pell I wonder if one of the local innkeepers could use a bouncer for a bit maybe I could earn us some coin to pay for some new gear" she looks at her battered sword and roughed up armour. "I would not want to go Monster hunting with what I am currently wearing that is for sure."

DM: [The sword and armor smiths of the area are of normal quality, but nothing special. Their specialty is repair, not manufacture, and at this they excell. The barkeep refuses you as a bouncer, he thinks your saucy ways (remember your act) would start trouble. Pell's minstrel act is a success so you have enough to eat, but buying the armor is another matter.] Maybe you will impress someone at the contest. Every month we have a contest to determine the status of our hunters. Anyone can join. {ooc animation is 200k but worth it (I do these myself)}
