I'll check the guy on the ground for silver and what not and take all his weapons and stuff just to teach him a lesson. Then continue to the inn and bed.

DM: He has no silver but you can have his club - a short piece of wrought iron covered in leather.

(((ooc: okay, well NOW I journey back to the inn... right?))) ;-)

DM: Yep. Actually if you had walked her home she wouldn't have been attacked.

OOC- I think I'l go for those lightning fast refexes then.

DM: {:In that case:} You feel something large hit you from above. Instantly you dodge to the side - a club glances off a brass bracelet. You briefly wonder at the irony of the situation as you see the man's surprised face collide with the ccobblestones. A moment later several other men leap around you, take one look at their comrade and take off in opposite directions.

ooc how do I customize the ring to avoid this kind of thing/

DM: ooc When Greyears gave you the rings he told you that they affected each person differently. You could say that te ring gives you lightening reflexes or supersharp hearing or extra intuition or a magic bumper that affects surprise attacks ... you can make up whatever you want (like a wish) but it's effects are limited. It won't make you invulnerable (in many situations). oocX2 I don't much like to "take over" a PC by inventing items that I feel they should have. Giving you a choice of magic powers is my way of giving you freedom to customise personae to your imaginations (not mine)

She smiles at the man " A little of this and a little of that. I'll be here fort the contest tomorrow. See You then" She makes her way to wherever she is staying for and goes to bed for the night.

DM: On your way back to the Inn Pell sings at, you sense danger, then a heavy weight hits you from above and soon you are fighting several men. They beat you to submission and take the silver you had with you and the eldar ring greyears gave to you. you arive at the inn bruised and bleeding from several cuts.

{ooc: you can customise the ring to avoid this type of thing if you like, or try to get it back...}

Shakara goes to the Old guild hall and sort of wonders aimlessly through the crowed looking for whomever is in charge of the contest.

DM: [The one-eyed merc leers] I am, pretty darlin' [You keep walking and a youth points at a man throwing knives into door... with a woman leaning against it laughing and cursing] He's in charge maam [You ask a paladin wearing a purple cape and polished breastplate] Um, I forget [A hooded ranger leads you into the greathall and goes to a large man eating barbequed ribs dripping with sauce who stops eating just long enough to speak] It's tomorrow, what can you do? You're skinny ha ha haa [Seeing your expression he grins] Okay we're all friends here lass. But don't take any plug nickels ha ha haa.

{ooc: your strength is enough to win a few arm wrestles but not many and your agility and sword skill will help in post-hacking races. You are young, and although you have been through many hardships, nowhere near your potential yet. From the look of things you will be able to beat most of the wannabees, but the champions may be out of your league.}

(((yeah, I tagged along... I'm playing the crowds)))

DM: [The crowd is a mixed bag, this is the place for sultry romance-gone-awry songs (R&B). Some people are fascinated, some wince at every beat. You nod to Shakara as you separate. Later you see her enter the hall following a hooded man. You also see a group of boys eyeing her closely from their vantage point on a bridge connecting the walls.

Shakara lets out a low thoraty chuckle. She gives Pell a peck on the cheek and whispers in His ear "Your going to have to try harder then that if its my bed your wanting to be in" She laughs merrily and spins quickly our of his reach and on to the dance floor.
