If the emperor had wanted us there earlier, he would have provided something in the way of transportation... DM: {ooc: what's a bag of gold, chopped liver? Anyway, the revolution will wait I suppose} That evening you hear roars in the distance. Probably a Manticore. You are attacked one night by a great horned owl, (15' wingspan) and Pell is severely wounded before killing it. [You each get expertise point.] The wound is not mortal but Pell's upper body aches constantly from the inch-deep scratches. Day by day the forest thins until you come to an expanse of gently rolling grassy hills. I would rather not risk it though to be honest. lets continue on to Starvally and trade these things " she gestures at the elk " for a coach there and proceed by road to Bel." I would like to stop there to pick up those things I mentioned at the start of the Trip, and maybe we can Trade these elk in for a nice coach ticket, what do You think?" DM: There is no road North. All merchantile traffic from Corum is by riverboat or ship. There is a road (not pictured) which connects Sundale, StarValley and Bel. There may be a carraige available in Sundale or StarValley. There is no regular city to city coach service on Thang. You can probably risk passing through Corum disguised and with fake names. The only other port besides corum that I see (and we can't go back to corum, remember?) is Sundale, and if we were going to walk to Sundale, we might as well just go to bel anyway, because its not that much further. That and the fact that we need to end up in Bel EVENTUALLY))) Aye, m'lady... However, if times get tough, I suppose we could always eat them... She looks at Pell "Anychance we can get some horses next time rather then these evil tempered, mean spirted creatures" she glares evily at her elk. DM: Silly me I forgot you think nothing of trekking 1000 miles (see map) across sarnetto and wyvern infested wilderness! LOL so... you are headed northwest? There are no northerly roads (just hunting paths) Northward of StormGate (or whatever the fortress you were just at is called. Methinks I'll make a _map_ of the surrounds of Bel, I've been winging this for a year now :-) could you tell? There's not a tremendous amount of game in the area but enough to dine without too much delay. {ooc btw where are you going?} Return to the game hub Record 49 At 26-Aug-98 08:00 PM GMT Pell said:verification status: 208.156.132.213 Mozilla/4.04 [en] (Win95; U); *shoots her a suspicious look, then suddenly laughs* Well now, rose... I suppose I've seen the flower, I just need to watch out for the thorns! *he grins* but in the meantime, let's get going *and so saying, nudges his horse into a trot* DM: [the elk looks at you as if to say] wadda ya think, I'm a horse?! yer lucky I ain't a bear or I'd bite yer burro fer that nudge. Voice commands only dude! [then it waits patiently, eyeing a tuft of grass] {ooc doncha just hate me?
